Gallery2c approached Optimal Website as a consultant to improve their online photography gallery. The report was structured around short, medium and long term modifications at their request.
Design improvements included adding contact details to every page, adding maps & directions from common approaches, improving the functionality of the image browse option, inserting images of their gallery in Clifton, and adding interesting details behind the photograph displayed.
Search engine optimisation recommendations were to remove duplicate content from adjacent pages, to add descriptive, key-word rich content to important pages. Other parts were more technical, but were made easy to understand.
Optimal Website also recommended shifting the philosophy of the website towards being "UK wide mail order," as opposed to "Photography Gallery based in Clifton," and to assume that a visitor was new to a website, and to concentrate design efforts on ease-of-use for the casual user.
